The Juniors at Clacton on Sea Golf Club have had a busy week.
In the Junior Open on Thursday  there were 48 Juniors playing from 21 different clubs.
Louie Brewer won the Under 18 Boys Stableford Division with 41 points and Max Heffer finished runner-up with 38 points. Coco Locke won the Girls Stableford Division with 36 points and Vince Chung won the U14 Boys Stableford Division on countback with 36 points.

Junior Captain Jonnie Down had his Junior Captain’s Day on Saturday. The weather was kind and it was wonderful to see golfers of all ages enjoying the day together. A full field of 24 adults and 24 juniors took part in a fun team event with 2 adults and 2 juniors in each team with the best 2 scores to count.
The winning team in Division 1, with 80 points, was Nick Heffer, Alan Hearn, Charlie Heffer & Max Heffer.
The winning team in Division 2, with 70 points, was Steve Hunt, Diana Maddox, Joffre Hunt & Samuel Corke.
The singles prizes in Division 1 went to Max Heffer who won with 41 points. Charlie Heffer was second with 39 points and Junior Captain Jonnie Down third with 37 points.
In Division 2 , Charley Sallows was the winner with 39 points and Samuel Corke second with 37 points.
Nearest the Pins were won by Helen Chung on the 2nd, Bill Smart on the 5th, Milo Locke on the 7th, Liam Clarke on the 15th and Darren White on the 17th. The Best Guest Stableford went to Ricky Pain with 36 points on countback.

The ladies Veterans Trophy was won by Diana Maddox with 44 points. In second place was Terry Woodcock-Dennis with 36 points and third Jeanette Shea with 35 points. The non-veterans played in The Rest Stableford. Hoon Locke was the winner with 37 points on countback from Emma Murphy and Anna Cowen third with 35 points.
Brenda Lord won the mid-week medal with a score of 95-27=68. In second place was Denise Pink 89-20=69 and Jeanette Shea third with 92-22=70.

The Seniors played their return match against Forrester Park winning 6 ½ - 1 ½ . This  gave Clacton an overall win of 9 ½ - 6 ½ so they retained the Valentine Vase which is played for each year by the 2 clubs. The results of the Seniors Weekly Challenge were Phil Maxwell in 1st place with 38 points. Perry Bettis was 2nd with 37 points and Tony Spark 3rd with 36 points.

Barry Gardiner was the winner of the Hospital Cup with +6. Darcy Eden was in second place on countback with +5 and Darren Leech was third.
